I’ve Had It

My life was once a blackened hell,
Lit with shafts of wine colored blood,
And wet with the silver of tears.

But no more will this anger eat at me.
No more will this hate burn in me.
No more will my eyes see only in shades of black and red.

Life is nothing more than a challenge,
A mere test in strength of will,
And this life has pushed me to the edge.

But I will not fall.
I refuse to give in.
I will fight to the bitter end.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
And I know this time it is not the beam of an oncoming train.
I know it will never look the same again.

I will not run away from life any more.
I will not live in fear.
I cannot live with hate.

I will find a way to survive.
I will find a way to live.
I will find a reason to smile.

The darkened blood will no longer rule my world.
Tears will no longer be shed in the black of the night.
Fear, Hate, and Anger will no longer run through my veins.

I’ve had it.
I’m done.
I will beat this game.
