Her movements were graceful as she twirled across the dirt floor. The song took her back to happier times. Laughter filled her heart and mind as she glided about the room. She remembered songs they sang next to the campfire and practicing their flutes side by side under the big oak tree. She smiled as the song ended. Her movements were graceful as she twirled about the dirt floor of her Irish home. The song takes her back to happier times when her mother still lived. Laughter filled her heart and mind as she continued to glide about the room. She remembered songs they sang next to a lit camp fire and her mother singing her to sleep when she was just a wee lass. She remembered them practicing their flutes side by side under the big oak tree. She remembered how happy she was when her mother was around. She smiled as the song ended. Stopping next to the door her smile widened as her mother’s ghost vanished. “Goodbye momma.”
